If they invested in the plan only, they could just hire a consultant, pay a percentage of the investment, and be on their way. Investors also look at management experience, concept, risks and rewards, valuation of the business model in the future, major competitors, and a many other factors. There is simply no way to track the success of a given plan. The idea is to identify, minimize and control as many risk as possible.

How much does it cost?
Internally, we price our business plans depending multiple factors:
- Size of market requiring research (one city or the whole country?)
- Concept complexity (a daycare or a new invention?)
- Audience for the plan (SBA, Bank, or Venture Capitalist?)
- Degree of financial model complexity (straight sales, commission or etc.)
- Generally most our clients are in the $2500-$5000 range.
What is the process?
Retention: Once we are hired, via contract and payment (50% of the plan fee), we provide you with a client welcoming kit which asks you everything we need to know about you and your business.
Investigation: Some clients spend a lot of time on this; some clients prefer phone or personal interview. Either way, the information discovery process should take the first 2 project days to complete. While this is occurring, we begin compiling all the relevant industry data so we can provide you with a thorough and independently completed market analysis.
Creation: When all the information is gathered, we develop financial forecasts and put the textual pieces together. Finally, we check the document for flow and accuracy. The business plan is then emailed to you in Microsoft Word format so you can quickly make any notes or changes to the document.
Revisions: Revisions are made until the product is complete. We give you unlimited revisions to the document for up to 3 weeks. Extensions can be made on a case by case basis. We’ve found that 2 weeks is plenty of time for entrepreneurs who are serious about getting their plan to market.
